Trey Nelson
Over the last decade Mr. Nelson has directed hundreds of television shows and several feature length documentaries. Some of his credits include director for the History Channel, Discovery, NBC, A&E, ABC, Bravo, Food Network, and Cooking Channel. In 2005, Mr. Nelson was awarded the Texas Filmmaker Award at the Academy Award Qualifying USA Film Festival for his short film Raccoon. The film was selected to some of the top festival in the world: Aspen ShortsFest, Montreal International Film Festival, and Palm Springs Film Festival. The film completed its festival run with the award for Best Short Film at the Memphis IndieFest and was acquired for distribution by the Film Festival Collection.

In 2009 Mr. Nelson completed a two-hour documentary, Stealing Lincoln's Body, for the History Channel. It aired to critical acclaim on Lincoln's 200th birthday celebration and was awarded an Emmy® in 2010. His second feature documentary for History, The Real Face of Jesus?, aired in the spring of 2010 with historic ratings. His third feature documentary - Jefferson - aired on History in the fall of 2010. Currently, he is attached to co-direct the documentary The Man Who Invented Fidel, based on the New York Times best selling book of the same title.

Mr. Nelson channeled his passion for food and cooking into several successful food shows. He series produced and directed all three seasons of Alex's Day Off for the Food Network. And for the newly launched Cooking Channel, he directed the premier season of Kelsey's Essentials.

A graduate of Colgate University, Mr. Nelson lives in New York City with his wife and two children.
