Award winning director
and producer Trey Nelson grew up in Dallas. At the
age of thirteen, his father bought him his first still
camera and he became obsessed with photographs and
images ever since. After studying Political Science
and Art at Colgate University, he left for San Francisco
to work with Gap Inc. In the short three years at Gap,
Trey started a new division for the Old Navy Clothing
Company. Trey left his promising career at Gap and
moved to NY to pursue his passion for filmmaking and
storytelling.
Since 2001, Trey has written,
directed, and produced a number of award winning short
films, documentaries, commercials, and television shows.
His work spans the Emmy award winning Queer Eye for
the Straight Guy, to his award winning Short Film Raccoon,
to his documentary work with Small Farmers in America.
He is comfortable with the largest of productions and at home with the most intimate of projects.
Trey lives with his wife,
Laura, and their cat, Monty, in Brooklyn. |
